Our story

We started CreateNew with five people from different corners of the digital world; agency owners, freelancers, product thinkers, strategists. What we had in common was simple: we wanted to work with and for our people.

The independents. The weird ones. The good ones. The ones who stay up late making something better because they just can’t help themselves.

We wanted to do something good for them.

So we started reaching out. Old colleagues, ex-teammates, friends. Everyone had a story. Most had the same ending: a broken system and no better alternative.

Too many middlemen. Too many layers. Too much profit made by other people on our backs.

Maybe it's our own fault. Too humble to represent ourselves, too focused on doing good work to brag about the results, too trusting, too emotional to play hardball.

But there they were. Recruiter chains, brokers, sales funnels, platforms with 30% margins, all ready to fill (and grow) the gap between client and specialist. Each taking a slice of the pie.

So we asked ourselves: why can’t we fix it? Why can’t we be our own bridge? Why not start something new? Together.

That’s how CreateNew was born. A cooperative, built by and for independent professionals.
